I’m Tineke. Great to have you over on my blog. This blog is my personal reminder that It’s All Joy, but I would love to inspire you to find the joyful things in your life.
Over the past years I have learned that life comes with challenges. I’ve also seen that living pro-actively with gratitude diffuses many challenges.
Life can be complicated. We are all running a family, working hard, trying to stay connected with family and friends, and don’t forget church, ministry…
A few years ago I decided to simplify my life. If you know me a little bit, you know it’s a massive mission ;-). But I had this desire to BE, and to know what is enough.
To enjoy the little things.
If you love your – maybe complicating, wanting to simplify – life and need some inspiration and input on how to simplify and enjoy the little things, you are at the right place.
I believe it is important to get our priorities in life right. And I’ve witnessed day in day out that our very first priority is our family. The time we invest in our family is never waisted!
I’ll be posting a weekly blog sharing my journey of Living Gratitude. I will share the tools I found helpful, the insights I got, what keeps me motivated, so that you will stay inspired doing what matters most.
Meet the clan
I’m married with my hubby since 2000. We were both 21 and still studying to become teachers. We loved to hang out together and spend many hours traveling together. Over the years he has become my best friend and I am so thankful that I can do life with him.
We have 4 beautiful children together. Since the beginning of 2015 we started homeschooling our bunch. It has been a challenging, but exciting journey.
Hence my reminder It’s All Joy!
Seven years ago we moved from The Netherlands to South Africa with only 6 suitcases. We wanted to serve God as a family and just BE among other families that need encouragement and hope.
Prior to this decision we did our Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission in Kelowna, Canada, and were keen to share what we’d learned with other families. During our Outreach on the Vancouver Islands we discovered that our true passion is ‘building strong family connections’.
Our house is in a permanent state of chaos until I have figured this organising thing out. Seriously, within two years after unpacking our 6 suitcases we had accumulated so much stuff again… I’m extremely grateful for KonMarie who was a big inspiration to help me sort myself out. At least it gives us lots of stories to share in our Marriage Workshops. I’m glad there are some people out there that can relate… 😉
Some random facts about me…
